Carnahan aims for MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 3

THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER notes that director Joe Carnahan is in negotiations to direct the third MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE film.

MI3 is being considered for a summer 2004 release and may add TOMB RAIDER 2 scriptwriter Dean Georgaris to the credits, which already include original writer Robert Towne.
