HBO has announced that it has cancelled the series CARNIVALE. The company produced 24 episodes in the shows two year run.

HBO's president Carolyn Strauss stated, "We feel the two seasons we had on the air told the story very well, and we're proud of what everyone associated with the show accomplished."

I received a free preview of HBO at the beginning of season two of Carnival. I loved it and never missed an episode, even watching the repeats.I rented season one from blockbuster on line and I ordered HBO when the free preview term was up.I caught the entire second season in this way, and cancelled my HBO when season two ended. There is nothing else on HBO I care about so I have no intention of ever reordering HBO. As to campaigning for the show, I think that those of us who might consider doing this did watch the show. The network obviously did not think enough people cared. Personally I think Carnivale has it all over Sopranos, Sex in the City, and Deadwood. Guess it's a matter of taste.
