So the poster tells us that they get it oversees before we do. Why is that always the case?

The new International trailer has arrived for Star Trek Into Darkness. The new poster has hit the web as well. This trailer is a good mix of action and story. It also has a nice shot of Alice Eve as Carol Marcus. Khan or Gary Mitchell? The search continues, but after this trailer I am leaning more towards Mitchell.
The Plot: In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes Star Trek Into Darkness.

As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

With regards to Alice Eve (and to quote the Animaniacs).... Hello Nurse (Chapel)! :)
That entire trailer looks pretty dope too. Looking forward to it.
This looks amazing on so many levels. I wonder how the fans of Star Trek that disliked the reboot will feel about this one. It is a continuation, but looks like a great movie. It may bring some of them on board the new storyline.
millean - any post with an Animaniacs reference is a win. Maybe more o's in the Hello.
That looks awsome and can't wait to see this, long live the new Star Trek universe!!!
Awesome. Looks fantastic to me! May 17th can't get here soon enough! Bring it ON!!!
Like the last one, this looks more like a star wars movie than a star trek movie. While I will likely thoroughly enjoy it, I'm not sure if Gene Rodenberry wouldn't be rolling in his grave. My understanding of his original vision was a show that was exciting but eplored various social issues of the time. I'm curious as to how J.J. is going to make star wars feel different from this new genre of star trek. Different stories and characters, but similar in tone and action I would imagine. Hopefully they feel distinctly different.
I don't remember any of the other Trek movies really exploring any social issues - maybe because they're movies and not a tv series. Seems to me all the movies, aside from ST:TMP, went for the fast paced action/comedy slant. This new version from J.J. Abrahms is only follwing suit.
That said, I'm quite excited to see this movie. It looks great! Well, I am getting tired of them trashing the Enterprise every other film, though... Lol!
That looks dope and for somer reason it tides me over for the wait on the new Star Wars.
