Carr Leading James in MALL COP

Steve Carr has been picked to direct Kevin James in MALL COP, reports Variety. The trade says that Steve Pink (High Fidelity) wrote the most recent draft, while James penned an earlier version with Nick Bakay. Sandler's Happy Madison is producing along with James, Jeff Sussman and Todd Garner. Columbia Pictures plans to shoot the film in early 2008.
Plot Concept: The story centers on a mild-mannered security guard (James) thrust into action when highly organized thieves take over his mall.
