Jamie Chung ("Samurai Girl") and Audrina Patridge ("The Hills") will be the latest newcomers set to die horribly in the upcoming remake of the cult classic The House on Sorority Row. Meanwhile, Carrie Fisher is in negotiations to watch it all go down as the "House Mother", says The Hollywood Reporter. The three actresses will be joining Rumer Willis, Julian Morris, Leah Pipes, Margo Harshman and Briana Evigan. Stewart Hendler is directing the Summit Entertainment production while Mike Karz and Darin Holender are on board to produce. Shooting set to start in early October in Pittsburgh.
Plot Concept: The story centers on a group of sorority sisters try to cover up the death of their house-sister after a prank gone wrong, only to be stalked and killed by a serial killer.
The original "Row" hit theaters during the famed slasher era on January 21, 1983. It was directed by Mark Rosman and starred Kate McNeil, Eileen Davidson, Janis Ward, Robin Meloy, Harley Jane Kozak and Christopher Lawrence. Film Ventures handled the distribution which wound up making $10.6 million domestically.
