Another clip fro the remake of Carrie has surfaced. I hope, I just hope that Universal is saving special for the actual theatrical release. So far I haven’t seen anything different outside of updated special effects. The “R” rating has pushed me to seeing it more than anything else at this point.

SYNOPSIS: A sheltered high school girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) unleashes her newly developed telekinetic powers after she is pushed too far by her peers. The film is directed by Kimberly Peirce (Boys Don’t Cry) with a screenplay by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Carrie features Chloë Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass 2), Julianne Moore (Boogie Nights) and Judy Greer (Arrested Development). The film has been rated R by the MPAA.

There is this super cool promo on Youtube right now for this movie where they rigged a coffee shop with someone ''showing'' powers like Carrie in the store, awsome.

Love the actors in this movie but still, a remake for a classic that is once again not needed.

If they're gonna do this then they may as well remake Firestarter too.  I actually liked that one more than Carrie.

I agree, I liked Firestarter better.  I could see Chloe playing the Firestarter more than Carrie.

Saw the Carrie Coffee Shop prank yesterday.  They really went all out.  The R/C tables and chairs were a nice touch.

didn't they remake this film like in 99 ' ? Sissy put  a lot  of Carries moves in the original , If I think of Carrie its the 1st one . Yes they are going to start remaking every film in the last 30 years. Films like Escape from NY to  Mad Max. Shame , Hollywood doesn't have any new ideas.

I saw Chloe on Jimmy Fallon the other night.  Such a damn cutie.  Not only will she be a knock-out, but she will be an amazing talent.  She's already an amazing talent!  I certainly loved her in Kickass (still haven't seen the sequel) and she was terrific in Let Me In.  I foresee some amazing things in this young lady's future.
