Carrie: Official Trailer #2

All seems the same to me

By Robert T. Trate     August 26, 2013
Source: Sony Pictures

After watching both the first trailer and the second, I have to ask one question: are there any surprises to for this film? We know she will be ridiculed. We know her Mom is crazy. We know that she develops telekinetic powers. Finally, she will get messed with at the prom and have blood poured on her. So why should I shell out my money to see this movie when I have the original on the shelf at home?

The Plot: A sheltered high school girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) unleashes her newly developed telekinetic powers after she is pushed too far by her peers.

The film is directed by Kimberly Peirce (Boys Don’t Cry) with a screenplay by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

Carrie stars Chloë Grace Moretz, Julianne Moore and Judy Greer.

Carrie arrives in theaters October 18, 2013

Wish it was little bit scarier. Chloe looks too pretty to be terrifying. One of the reasons the remake Let Me In did so poorly. She should be almost alien like scary towards the end. Her humanity was shattered she should of been terrifying. I hope we get to see her kill friends in order to get the sense that she has lost hold of reality just like the antagonist in Chronicles.

slayerfaith..."Let Me In" did so poorly as you put it,  because it was an "R" rated horror movie that was weakly supported by it's studio - Overture Films.  FACT:  The movie was one of the most critically acclaimed films of 2010 (it got 89% on the tomato meter) and Moretz won several awards for her performance.

I prefer to judge a movie based on how good it is, not on how it did at the box office otherwise i'd be singing the praise of Adam Sandler.

Thanks in no small part to her boffo performance in Let Me In, Chloe has since been offered lots of juicy roles.  She definately has "IT" but I don't know if Hollywood has figured out how best to use IT.

Probably won't see this in the theaters but will download it from Amazon though.
