Carrie Teaser Trailer

Actually a Teaser!

Last weekend at the New York Comic Con, Sony Pictures revealed the trailer for their new adaptation of Carrie. Many of you will believe this to be yet another remake, however all of the cast sited the book as their source material. That original book was written by Stephen King. Check out this actual teaser trailer below, which thankfully isn’t a teaser of the teaser.

The Plot: A sheltered high school girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) unleashes her newly developed telekinetic powers after she is pushed too far by her peers.

The film is directed by Kimberly Peirce (Boys Don’t Cry) with  a screenplay by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

The film stars Chloë Grace Moretz, Julianne Moore and Judy Greer.

Carrie arrives March 15th, 2013.

A good teaser.

I have no problem with remakes from material originally based on books, plays, or comics. As the cast seems to state, a different filmmaker can find new or different aspects from the source that weren't utilized in the original version. The problem you will have is when that first version is felt to be a classic. You are climbing up hill into a headwind with leg irons to make your new version accepted and/or profitable.

Soooo is this Carrie or Firestarter? *chuckles*

I wonder how this is going to be received in this era of Cyberbullying, etc?  Could be controversial.

I can live with the remake/revision/whatever part, particularly since it looks like they're trying to stick a little closer to King's novel. Good luck to 'em, cuz monkeyfoot's right, they have HUGE shoes to fill. My big problem though is that although i love Chloe she's just goofily miscast in this.

It just never stops. I see quite a few people on here also get tired of seeing the constant remake machine called Hollywood pumping these things out left and right......Oh well, if the original isn't up to today's "standards" or audience and it needs remaking, so be it. I just won't bother with it.

what i'm sick  of is the fucking people crying bout the movie remakes.  there  is a choice you can go watch it or stay the in your home. i for one don't mind remakes, i thitnk it gives many movies the op. for getting what as a child i wished it had Good FX and when all set and done it comes down to that for the most part with the #of movies that were made in the 60's- even late 90's that could of used that good CGI FX.. all that talk bout people saying their child hood being raped are lame.. you don't have to watch it so don't  let your child hood get raped you always have a choice.. Raped Child hood LMAO.....

thezillaman 10/16/2012 9:56:42 PM

Zilla, I'm currently working on a film you might be interested in. It's a remake of Chopping Mall. It's pretty much the like the original, except with CG and it's also in 3D!

thezillaman 10/18/2012 1:03:36 AM

@Liquids7 plz, don't tease me because i actualy liked that 80's movie. the movie is also known as Killbots, it would be real cool if Barbara Crampton has a cameo, shes an 80's Gem.. you prob. are fucking with me still i'd go watch it, like i said have no issues with movie remakes at all i welcome them.. if true well damm that's great news and can't wait to see how it turns out..
