Jim Carrey has reunited with his ACE VENTURA: PET DETECTIVE collaborators in an effort to bring BRUCE ALMIGHTY to the big screen.
Carrey, who started working on the project last month with DETECTIVE director Tom Shadyac and co-writer Steve Oedekerk, would star as the title Bruce, a man who prays to God so much about his problems that the Almighty gives him god-like powers for 24 hours in an effort to show him how tough it is to rule... well, everything.
No word on a start date, but with the VENTURA collaborators working together again, expect Universal to fast track the film.
