CATCH this DVD if you can

Arriving today on DVD and home video is Steven Spielberg's last film, the cat-and-mouse drama CATCH ME IF YOU CAN. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio as charismatic check con artist Frank Abagnale Jr. and Tom Hanks as FBI Agent Carl Hanratty, the movie came out last year and netted an incredible $160 million + at the box office. For the picture's DVD release, DreamWorks Home Entertainment has put together a 2-disc set that offers more information about Abagnale, his life on the run from the law and how Spielberg put together his film.

Disc one contains the film, and is standard on a Spielberg flick has no audio commentary by the dirctor. It's on disc two where you'll find the goodies, with the most important being a new documentary by Laurent Bouzereau. Here you'll find interviews with the film's stars, composer John Williams, producer Walter Parkes and screenwriter Jeff Nathanson, as well as a look at the reality of what Frank Abagnale Jr. managed to pull off before he was 21 years of age. Also included are production notes, cast and crew biographies, an exhaustive still gallery -- but none of the film's trailers.

DreamWorks has priced the DVD of CATCH ME IF YOU CAN at $26.95, but if you're resourceful you can save a couple of bucks. The DVD is available in both widescreen and full screen editions.
