Christopher Reeve and Christian Bale are the 2 best superhero actors of all time!  It's true because I said so!  LOL!

I'm not saying it should be some roided up monster... I'm saying a guy like maybe the size of Chris Hemsworth.  Supes is portrayed as a big dude in almost every comics and even animated version... I would LOOOOOOVE to see this skinny superman everyone is talking about.  Even the old Kingdom Come version is jacked.  Why couldn't the "solar battery" make him buff too exactly??? Guess a lot of people on here are experts on the physiology of make believe alien races.

For those commenting on the "muscles/no muscles" thing, John Byrne addressed this way back in 1985 when he rebooted/retconned the Superman franchise for DC.  The modern day Superman required many years for his powers to develop.  There was no Superboy/Superbaby.  His powers started to manifest around puberty and didn't complete until after college.

Clark Kent grew up on a farm doing manual labor.  He was a football player in high school.  Thus, it is natural for him to have developed muscles while growing up.  The manifestation of his powers had nothing to do with gaining or losing musculature.

Also, in order to address this further, he had Clark Kent keep a bench and some weights in his apartment.  he never used them (could have tossed them into the sun, really).  But it gave the illusion of, "Oh, Clark works out.  That's why he's so muscular."

Henry Cavill will make a great Superman!  My advice:  No underwear over tights!  And time to lose the cape.  In other words update the uniform / costume!
