AlonzoWashington, activist and creator of Omega 7comics, told Comics2Film that his recent contribution to Spider-Maniawill soon reach a national audience.
Back in May, TheKansas City Star contracted a gaggle of comic book artists to conjure upSpider-inspired comics in celebration of the Spider-Man movie andthe character's anniversary. Washington, along with comic vets like SteveLightle (Legion of Super-Heroes), Kerry Callen (Halo andSprocket), Anna-Maria Cool (Elvira: Mistress of the Dark),Mike Worley (Simpsons Comics), Josh Cotter (The Fun Book),Ande Parks (Green Arrow), Rick Stasi (Spider-Man Adventures)and Hector Casanova (Guffman & Godot) all contributed stripsfor the event.
Now,Washington, who was also an extra in the Spider-Man movie (try andfind him in the Unity Festival crowd), tells us that the strips will bereprinted in an upcoming issue of Comics Buyers' Guide.
Washington'sown strip featured a team-up between his flagship Omega Man character and theweb-slinger.
