CBS has given a pilot commitment to an exorcism themed drama from Barbara Hall (Joan of Arcadia) and Joe Roth (The Exorcist III).

The show is believed to revolve around exorcists and others who investigate supernatural phenomena. Hall will write the script as well as executive produce the project alongside Roth.

The network has hired Bob Larson, an expert on cults, the occult and supernatural phenomena, to consult on the project.

They did this show. It was called MIRACLES. It was a brilliant show and it lasted for all of, I believe, 5 aired eps. Although, since it's going to be on CBS, it may end up getting an audience. And also... THE EXORCIST III ROCKS ASS!!!!

CBS always puts out these crappy shows. If CBS didn't have the CSI`S or 2 1/2 men, there ratings would tank every week.

"Although, since it's going to be on CBS, it may end up getting an audience."

But will it get high enough ratings to satisfy CBS? The Big Four networks have a very low survival rate for shows of this type because they expect higher ratings than cable or the netlets (which is now down to one netlet). This will last about as long as last year's Night Stalker before getting replaced by a reality series or endless CSI repeats.

I'm so tired and fed up with the whole Exorcist franchise being shoveled down our throats these last few years. The first movie was great. The second movie was good. Alright, I'm done now. While I don't mind, and rather like, these new supernatural shows being on TV I would like to see some new and fresh ideas rather than regurgitated crap.

codenamev-
Was that the show w/ Skeet?
If so, your right, that was a good show. I only caught the last 2 that aired, but just based on those I was ready to see more. Im pretty sure they filmed more episodes than they aired, and if thats the case, I would dig a box set.
