Um, no it doesn't.

Back in May of 2012 Mania ran an interview with Elementary’s Johnny Lee Miller about Byzantium. Outside of said interview and a look at the poster (see below) Byzantium news has been quiet. MovieClipsComingSoon has now posted this trailer and clip from the film.
Synopsis: It is the story of a mother and daughter vampire duo that form a deadly pact. The film is based on the play by Moira Buffini and will be directed by Neil Jordon (Interview with a Vampire). The cast includes Saoirse Ronan (Hannah), Gemma Arterton (Clash of the Titans), Johnny Lee Miller (Trainspotting), and Caleb Landry Jones (X-Men: First Class).
Byzantium has made a few festival appearances but still has no release date, in the US, other than 2013.

I like Saoirse Ronan and Johnny Lee Miller. I think Niel Jordan didn't do a horrible job with Interview with a Vampire... (at least till I read the books).... But Something about this says I'm not interested.
It looks like it could be interesting...for a little while anyway. Decent cast, so I might give it a shot. Looking at the clips it does remind me a lot of Interview With A Vampire...and at the same time Dangerous Liasions?
Interview With the Vampire, with a female cast. It does not look too interesting to me, for some reason.
this looks fucking lame, and i no way does this reminds me the best vampire movie ever, IWAV...no way hell no...this does look like a student made film project... om this i do have to skip till it comes out on netflix ...

I hated Interview With A Vampire and this one doesn't even look as that did. No interest whatsoever.
I know nothing about this play or movie but from this trailer and clip it looks to be a truly original idea in the vampire genre. I will make a point of seeing if the movie execution is as good as it appears.
That clip feels like a novice student film scene project.
