Don't be put off by the AU (Australian Dollars) price. In American dollars, it's cheap for the ride you're taken on.

This is the second in Hromic's new fantasy series CHANGER OF DAYS, simply titled VOLUME TWO.

Picking up where VOLUME ONE left off, Anghara, true queen of her native Roisinan, but who had to flee when she was a child while her stepbrother, Sif, declared himself king, has finally decided to return home and claim her throne.

But she's not minutes off the ship she arrived on when she's kidnapped by her stepbrother's lackeys. Luckily, one of her cousins sees the kidnapping and alerts her childhood friend, Kieran, of the dirty deed. They and their small band of Anghara's supporters know they must wait until the moment is right to rescue her, and hope in the meantime that Sif doesn't murder her.

Anghara is kept in the dungeon, dirty, disheveled, and drugged so that she cannot use her "sight" (kind of like ESP, but stronger in many ways). She gets weaker by the day, and as time slowly passes, Sif waffles back and forth on whether or not to kill her and truly claim the throne for himself.

His waffling is bad news for him. His wife overhears that Anghara is in the dungeon and befriends her. This is when Anghara's supporters plot and carry out their rescue mission, a success to some degree, although some people do die as a result.

Kieran takes her back to Kheldrin, a desert country where she'd learned to use and enhance her powers. Now she must regain them if she can - the drugs have made her powerless. As she regains her strength, she finds herself at odds with her feelings for Kieran and he duty to be queen, in addition to about another million things she has to tackle before returning to Roisinan.

This sequel is a dandy - as well-written as the first book; just as exciting (if not more) and a true page turner. My husband truly hated me when I read this book. I just couldn't put it down. When I came to the last page, he was ecstatic, but I was upset - I wanted more! And from what I understand, there will be - hooray!
