Final figures confirmed Monday's estimates for the most part, with few surprises. As expected, four genre films made it into the Top Ten:
Charlie's Angels, the #1 film, earned $40.13-million during its debut, just shy of predictions. Also falling slightly short was
Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2, which took in $5.01-million in 5th place, raising its total to $21.80-million. In 6th place,
Bedazzled added $4.66-million to its total of $30.81-million. And
The Little Vampire took in another $3.51-million, for a total of $9.98-million.
In limited release,
CyberWorld earned another $230-thousand in Imax theatres, while
Cirque du Soleil Journey of Man took in another $95-thousand, also in Imax engagements. And
The Nightmare Before Christmas completed its limited re-release run on Sunday with $68-thousand in 46 engagements, bringing its lifetime total up to $50.34-million.
