The identity of 'Smallville''s mysterious female villain has been revealed and (just as we guessed back in May) it is the intergalactic warrior queen known as Maxima.
TV Guide reveals that Canadian actress Charlotte Sullivan ('MVP') has been cast in the role.
In the comics, Maxima arrives on Earth seeking a worthy mate and sets her sights on Superman. However, the Man of Steel does not reciprocate the cold-blooded powerhouse's affections, which leads to a contentious love/hate relationship.
Sullivan joins Sam Witwer ('Battlestar Galactica', 'Dexter') who plays Doomsday, as the show's new villains, offsettin the departure of Michael Rosenbaum's Lex Luthor from the show.
