Michael Chiklis has joined the cast of D.J Caruso's EAGLE EYE, says the Hollywood Reporter. Chiklis will be playing the Secretary of Defense in the upcoming thriller, which teams LaBeouf and director Caruso up again after their Disturbia effort. The FF star joins Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Billy Bob Thornton, Rosario Dawson, Anthony Azizi and Anthony Mackie. Hillary Seitz wrote the latest draft of the film, with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci executive producing through their DreamWorks-based company. Pat Crowley and Ed McDonnell also are producing. Production on the film has resumed this week after taking the holidays off.
Plot Concept: Story revolves around a slacker (Shia LaBeouf) and a single mother (Michelle Monaghan) who form an unlikely partnership when they are framed as terrorists and forced to become members of a cell with plans to carry out a political assassination.
EAGLE EYE will hit theaters August 8, 2008.
