Book Buzz: The Legacy of Star Wars Fiction - May 12, 2008 - 11:07am
Lucas would have been better off if he had scrapped everything he had in mind for the prequal and called up Timothy Zahn to write it for him. Lord knows if he ever decides to write a "canon" third trilogy that contradicts the "Empire Trilogy" or "Jedi Academy" he should probably sell Skywalker Ranch and go hide somewhere in the Australian Outback where nobody can find him.
TERMINATOR 4 is PG-13? - May 05, 2008 - 04:50am
My first reaction to this was dismay, but I'm wracking my brain for the few memories I have of T3. Nothing in there really stands out as being "R worthy." Even as I think back to T2, I don't know what exactly qualified it for an R rating. I don't think it will effect the quality of the movie much. As was noted in the article, PG-13 is different now than it once was. Basically, violence gets you PG-13 these days and sex gets you R. I don't know that we need graphic scenes of Christian Bale having sex in an underground lair anyways.
Hey Chirop, this is Pat Ferrara, the Books columnist here at Mania.com. I know you regularly comment on book-related features here at the site and I just read your response on the Winterbirth review. I have an advance copy of Bloodheir and I'll probably finish it right around the end of May. If you'd like my copy once I finish reviewing it send me a message or comment in my profile, I can't in good conscience keep any good book after I finish it when I know there are other fans who want to read it!
Awesome chirop. Yeah I'm making a note to bring up some of the clunky issues Mania has with its profile system and messaging interface. I'm glad you at least saw my post on your profile! Drop me a line with your address to PFerrara.mania@gmail.com and I'll be sure to keep you in the loop as to when I'll be finished with Bloodheir (I'll be done with it no later than the first week of June).
