What They Say
A second volume of music from the anime series about a boy and his beautiful, living computer! Melodious sound bytes from the hit show!

The Review!
3 out of 5
Music found in the Chobits Series.
This CD comes with a ten-page insert. First page is two large pictures of Chi’s face, one in full color (eyes closed) the other is in black and white (eyes open). Next up is the song title list. The next page has small character pictures and scenes from the show. The next page contains both the English and the Japanese lyrics to one of the vocal songs. Next up are two pages of a collage of character pictures and scenes. The next page is another character/scenes picture page set up like the first page. Then there is the English and Japanese lyrics to the other two vocal songs. The last two pages have character pictures as well as the credits for both the show and the CD.
This one is definitely a good one. The music jumps through every range of emotion from sorrow to happy-go-lucky to slightly tense. There are a few great numbers on there with a good scat feel to them. The feel of the scenes from the show does translate into the music. My main problem with it is the general feeling of blah that I get from the music. The music itself is really interesting in that it spans multiple genres and multiple emotions, but the emotions it does explore tend to be less than enthusiastic in their feel. There are elements of emotion in each song, but nothing concrete that make would it worth the feelings that you would have to put into it. The CD itself as a stand-alone is okay, but if you loved the Chobits series, you’ll love this soundtrack too.
I’d have to say Genre, is great, music is okay, and total feel is a step above good.
Fangboy says…worth another listen, maybe it will grow on me.
