Many have speculated that the implosion of the 'Justice League' movie may have been due, in part, to the notion that 'Dark Knight' director Christopher Nolan was actively lobbying against a competing, big-screen vision of Batman.
However, at recent press rounds for the new Batman movie, Nolan downplayed such ideas.
"To be honest, films aren’t real until they’re real. I tend not to really get too worked up about things like that, that are theoretical," he told iFMagazine. "We’ve really just got on with this movie and this is the movie that we’ve been focusing on. It’s so tough to get a movie made -- you don’t want to be weighing on other people’s films and so forth. I’m very happy that there weren’t any projects that interfered with this one. We were able to get on and make the film we wanted to make."
