Christopher Eccleston joins "Heroes"

NBC has announced that Christopher Eccleston will appear in multiple episodes of their hit show, Heroes.

Eccleston will play an invisible man named Claude.  The name is a throwback to the 1933 classic sci fi film, The Invisible Man, who's star was named Claude Rains.

Some great quotes from Sci Fi Wire:

"So far, he's been in four, and then we're trying to work out his dates with his movie that he's doing," said creator and executive producer Tim Kring. "We'd like to have him come and play with us for a while."

"His character acts as a sort of mentor for Milo's character, Peter, who's having trouble controlling all of these crazy powers that he seems to have."

"So he runs into this character, literally, and forces him, basically, to teach him what's going on and to tell him what's going on. And it's the first indication for the audience that these powers have been around longer than we seem to have sensed it as an audience based on what we've seen so far."

KJ's Take:  Hell yea.  I can't get enough of this show.  I'll be there with eyes glued to the tube come this Monday at 9.  Hell, I'll probably glue them early just to make sure I don't miss anything.

That's DR WHO right? Great news! But it will be a short run for him since he does not like to work.

When I saw the headline, I thought we were getting some 2-week old news. But this actually has new info. Sounds cool! Heroes is one of the best shows on TV right now. Love it!

Heroes is an amazing show. I'm glad to hear it got a full pick-up for next season; should give the writers some creative room to build the series' mythology. Watching Heroes makes me think of how great a cable version of "Rising Stars" by JMS could have been. It's been a long time since I looked forward to a TV show returning from Hiatus, but I'm excited to watch Heroes next chapter on Monday night!

I hope I am not speaking Sci-fi Heresy, but I didn't really like the Dr. Who series until he was Dr. Who. I will look forward to (not) seeing him in the coming weeks

Side note: who else is already planning to buy the season 1 DVD?

I never was a fan of Dr. Whoever.
