Good finally Chuck's catching a break! With NBC's ratings in the toilet the expectation for Chuck will be lower meaing a better chance of getting renewed! Effin' Leno's screwing it up for everyone!

The recent NBC cancellations of "Southland" and "Trauma" likely being let go after its finished its first batch of episodes, this seems to have paved the away for an extended season of Chuck. Variety reports the network has picked up an additional six more episodes on top of its previous 13-episode season order. The original plan was for the show to come back in March, post-Winter Olympics, but with more time slots to fill, the network is eyeing a possible January return.
In separate, but genre-focused TV news, the trade also reveals that Mike Medavoy and FremantleMedia Enterprises are collaborating on a multiplatform franchise with the working title "Dinosaurs Resurrected."
The project, which melds the latest discoveries by paleontologists with cutting-edge CGI animation, will include a primetime HD series, to be delivered in 2011, and a narrative 3D feature. FME will handle the sale of the series' international rights and will oversee the exploitation of the franchise in all media, including books, DVDs, merchandising, video games and live events.

Chuck is a great show. And I'm delighted there will be more episodes.
Well LittlNell, Crichton didn't invent dinosaurs or genetic engineering. There's no reason why somebody else couldn't play with the concept. As long as the characters from the Crichton novels aren't included nobody can complain.

great to hear we get more chuch, and earlier than expected...Was always a huge slight to have this show so reduced for its new season
While, its cool to see more Chuck, I`m pissed that they are canceling Trauma. Its a pretty good show. NBC needed a new medical show and this one was good. NBC is just as bad as FOX .
I love Chuck and I'm glad to see it'll be a longer season and come back early.
I don't know why they canceled Southland though, I liked that show.
So "Dinosaurs Resurrected" means a series based on Jurassic Park, without having to pay royalties to the Crichton estate? And "multiplatform" means comic books, mini webisodes, and TV episodes? Could be interesting. At least my nephew would enjoy it.
Yay Chuck!
