Cigarette Smoking Man joins SMALLVILLE cast

KryptonSite is reporting that beloved X-FILES baddie, the Cigarette Smoking Man himself, will appear in episode eight of the second season of SMALLVILLE. William B. Davis is set to play the town's mayor, and according to KryptonSite's spoilers page his character will appeal to Lex for help fixing his re-election.

The spoilers page does not provide details on the winner of the election; the outcome is left as an exercise for the reader.
