Cillian's face always creeps me out. Great actor.
Cillian Murphy will soon experience the woes of trusting a man in a biohazard suit, with Deadline London reporting he's been set to star opposite Thandie Newton in the British thriller The Retreat. With a U.K distribution deal already in place over at Sony Pictures, editor Carl Tibbets is making his directorial debut from a script he wrote. Production is set to get underway in Wales in September.
Plot Concept: Described as a mix between Dead Calm and Knife in the Water, the story centers a married couple who rent a cottage on a remote island to fix their marriage. Their plans are cut short when a soldier wearing a biohazard suit washes up on the beach claiming that everyone on the mainland has been killed by a virus.
I think it's Carl Tibbetts with 3 T's. If so I believe he was the editor on AVP and this will be his directorial debut. I saw a rumor that David Tennant was up for the role of the soldier but nothing official has been announced. This sounds like a low budget psychological thriller, I think I'll wait for dvd.
Dead Calm, Funny Games, Last House on the Left, etc etc etc. Yeah, I'll wait for dvd or cable
Dead Calm was awesome Billy Zane is a nut. The whole idea of the guy washing up on shore claiming everyone's wiped out is just great. Plus Cillian is a creepy actor. Scareeeeeeeee crow!!!!!!!!!!! hahaha
