Excellent News. Now please cast John Noble as the Villian!!!
I'm cool with Vaughn directing this. Again I think Speilberg would be the obvious (and better choice), but this is fine. Now sign Mark, Carrie and Harrison and let's start shooting this baby!!!
I agree with Wiseguy, alot of people get on him about X-Men 3 but personally I give him a muligan on that considering that it was an inherited piece of crap franchise to begin with (The more I watch Singer's first two films the more I think that all three XMen filsm were vastly flawed). Ratner is a decent director that might suprise with this film.
This has been my dream since 1984. Get Mark and Harrison signed now!!! Get Carrie Fisher on a diet and into fighting shape immediately. No EWOKS, and no JAR JAR BINKS!!!!
@Wiseguy - Please do not use the XMen and FF films as proof that you can make a JL film. Both FF films sucked, and tell me that all three X-Men films weren't Wolerine Centered films (everybody else regulated to the background). The Avengers was presented and felt like a TEAM movie. Why? Because we are talking about charcters that had a little bit of development before they were all thrown together.
This is a dumb idea. While I agree with not needing another orign movie for Batman, here are the problems that come from rolling out a Justice League movie ahead of individual films.
If WB wants to win the war, instead of a ticket battle, thety would scrap this and adapt the Marvel Model. Give Wonder Woman, and Flash a movie so the actors playing them could create something in the roles to build on. Give GL a reboot (perferably without Ryan Reynolds), and use Batman like the Hulk and save him for the movie, or better yet maybe make Batman the Nick Fury that cameos in enough of the other films so that by the time JL the actor playing him can set himself apart for Keaton/Bale.
@parallaxview your comparison of the Original Star Trek picture with GL is in flawed. If you think about it Wrath of Khan was in essense a reboot of Star Trek just with the same iconic cast. Think about it every single film after that in some way reference the film before it, but Wrath never references the 1st film at all. Not in any way shape or form.
As for wanting to keep Ryan Reynolds, what possibly did he bring to that role to make you think that he wasn't one of the collossal problems with the first film. Did Reynolds embody anything of the spirit of the character of Hal Jordan? Again I think that GL missed on ever possible level right down to the riculous decision to make the suit a CGI greation and not stick with the classic design.
The only thing salvagle from the first film is, if Mark Strong (Sinestro) and Angela Basset (Amanda Waller) are still under contract keep them!
Recast everybody else
@Silversurfer - I have three reasons why the Wachoksis are not a good choice for the Justice League movies:
Other than the original Matrix (which now looks like the abberation on their resume than the norm), that have made three straight films that were flat out terrible.
At this point, I think there will never be a JL film.
SWEET!!!!!!!
DarthoftheDead, I love your avatar. NOLAN rules and Blessed be his name!

Here's a thought. What if Paul Giamantti is Norman Osborne?
