Ok based on this photo:
I hope that this is test shot that they have tweaked. Other than that I think it's okay. Wish they had released a clearer image.
I think it's a great choice and personally I actually hope that they do reimagine Perry White for the film as well as other characters. I want Nolan/Snyder to distance this movie from the Donner/Singer/Smallivlle Superman as much as possible. With Fishburne I picture a Perry that doesn't necessarily yell but speaks in a very clear and authoritive tone, and combined with Larry's 'Don't F**k with me' stare will get his message accros to Lois, Jimmy, Clark and anybody else at the Planet that he's speaking to. To people who long for Lane Smith and Jackie Cooper, with the Donner films or Smallville!
I think we can all agree that the most intersting thing about this post is Kinetoscope's post. GL man I hope you and your son get into the film.
I still say Norton should be in this movie. All in all as long as they let the Hulk actually talk and show that Banner has some sort of control over the creature will be good. Treat it like they did in the 'League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' with Jeckyl/Hyde (some comentary between the two minds sharing the same body) and for god sakes Joss let him speak in complete sentences.
I got a bad feeling about this...
The first sign that something might be wrong with this film...{sighs}
Watched it five times and stil, I have little intrest in this film. Spiderman does not need the Chris Nolan "Batman Begins" treatment, and the trailer reeks of it. I'm suprised the Campbel Scott didn't say to young Peter 'Peter don't worry it will be okay" There is a difference in the tones of certain comics for a reason. Batman is more or less a dective noir in the vein of such serials as the Shadow, The Spirit and such, that's the reason why you can place him in a grittier more urban tone and the character still resonates. Spiderman is fantasy he was (is) every kids fantasy of what you would do if you suddenly had super powers - his story is not one that you can try to darken or make more 'realistic' and it's ticking me off that they are trying to do that and it feels forced. Also that I'm sorry but Andrew Garfield is nothing more than a 'Twilight' reject and I can't stand watching him try to be Peter Parker.
This whole production is like trying to make a Star Wars film, with Star Trek writers and producers!
@Hobbs, Tarantino offered the role the Wil Smith first and from what I read, it was his to take, but it seems that 'Family Friendly' Wil has decided that he can't do edgy serious stuff. He'd rather chase aliens and trade barbs with Kevin James, Tommy Lee Jones or Martin Lawrence than do this.
I agree with you that I can't stand that Foxx got the role, I would have rather they cast Idris Elba.
Fatpantz, I understand the frustration that comes from remaking classic films. When it was announced that JJ Abrams was going to remake 'Star Trek' my first reactions was 'WTF?!', but then I realized that there are really few 'Sacred Cow' movies out there, and also while I do love Original Trek movies, I had to admit that there was room for improvement. Again while I did like Oldboy, I have to say there are areas where that film can be better (I've often felt the the pacing was really slow in certain parts of the film), and also it's really not true to it's source material (the original manga comic). Who knows what Lee will do with the movie, but I'm at least going to give him the benefit of the doubt that he can bring something new and interesting to the movie.
Realistically all I'm saying is let's not 'shyt' on this film until we see something to 'shyt' on. If he puts 'nipples' on Oh Dae-Su's black suit, or if a trailer shows a world that decorated in neon and glitter wands everywhere then by all mean crucify him, but you can't rip him for trying to remake this film.

I looked at a higher resolution photo and I still stand by my words that I think the hair is too puffy and the cape is too long. When this thing is released on DVD/Blu-Ray there will be an entire disc dedicated to outtakes where poor Henry is tripping on that cape. I don't mind the color or material of the costume, but for God sakes Snyder take a trimmer to the sides of Hank's hair and give him the Superman curl strad in the middle of his head. They do that and they've got a winner.
