THE SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER notes the beginning of the week-long Reel Cinerama Film Festival at Seattle's restored Cinerama Theater.

The festival will screen four of the seven films ever shot for the three-strip Cinerama process, Beginning with HOW THE WEST WAS WON, and proceeding to THIS IS CINERAMA, SEARCH FOR PARADISE, and the rarely screened WINDJAMMER, which was shot in a competing process and later adapted for Cinerama.

The director of SEARCH FOR PARADISE, Otto Lang, will attend Sunday's screenings of his film. All the films feature newly-struck audio, and the prints of HOW THE WEST WAS WON and THIS IS CINERAMA are freshly-struck specifically for the festival.
