CLONE HIGH's Gandhi draws ire

THE HINDUSTAN TIMES notes that MTV's CLONE HIGH, an animated series featuring the teen hijinx of clones of well-known historical figures, has drawn criticism for it's portrayal of the clone of Mohandas K. Gandhi.

The clone is depicted as a small teenager with pierced ears whose best friend is the clone of Abraham Lincoln.

The managing director of MTV India released a statement on Thursday in which he says, "Following reports about the series, we have notified MTV U.S. to discuss the show's content. In response, MTV U.S. has taken this matter very seriously and feedback from them is forthcoming."
