YAHOO! Entertainment News offers two pieces on George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh's Berlin jaunt for a festival showing of their
SOLARIS.
One covers Clooney's emotional reaction to a reporter's question in which the reporter described the film as "boring." Among Clooney's remarks, he's quoted as saying, "You just wanted to get up and be a rat, you know that? You just wanted to get up and say something rotten. What a jerk! I mean honestly, you know, what a (expletive) thing to say!"
Soderbergh is described as thanking the same reporter for the question while maintaining his composure.
The other notes Soderbergh's thoughts on SOLARIS and his own experience of having lost a family member, a major theme of the film.
The filmmaker says, "Often, making a film is a way of working through some experience. My father died in 1988 and that was my way of working through a very disorienting experience."
