Hey! For the next few days, the folks at the Right Stuf are having a giveaway, and since we don't have anything in the Prize Closet today, I thought I'd let you in on it. Think anime doesn't pay? One of the industry giants, TETSUJIN 28 creator Mitsuteru Yokoyama, died in a fire two years ago last month, and after taxes his heirs will be collecting nearly ten million dollars. His home town of Kobe is planning to erect a monument to commemorate Yokoyama's death and the 50th anniversary of Tetsujin 28 (known in the USA as Gigantor). So who else will make a lot of money? (O) THE VENTURE BROS. Season One (Warner Bros.) Sort of a dysfunctional remake of JONNY QUEST and a Cartoon Network Adult Swim favorite. With animation this limited, thank god the villains are so inept. I mean, who can resist characters with rollergirl names like Dr. Girlfriend, Molotov Cocktease and Girl Hitler? First 13 episodes on two discs, plus commentraks, deleted footage, behind the scenes of the "live-action movie", the pilot and Christmas special on two discs.
