Hobbs, That is the only thing I could think of too, but surely there was "hype" for the Star Wars films. I also considered that ILM may not have completed enough FX... who knows perhaps the people at LucasFilm are using some kind of new math in their promotions division lol.

Strange... I remember hearing way back that LucasFilm expected a teaser for IJ4 around Thanksgiving 2007 - which would be in line with the 3 Star Wars Prequels. Obviously this didn't happen, anyone know why?

endgambit, TPM teaser may have been with Wing Commander, but it was definitely shown with Meet Joe Black... it was a bit of a sensation because people were buying tickets to MJB and then leaving after they saw the teaser for TPM, artifically raising MJBs box office: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meet_Joe_Black As for the IJ4 teaser... I remember reading Lucas planned for a release around Thanksgiving 2007?! Which would be consistent with the releases for all of the SW prequel teasers. So much for that plan I guess.

Hmmm... hope they pull it off... not sure about hybrids though... that human/alien hybrid from ALIEN: Resurrection was AWFUL. Also, Not sure why it is set on Earth? Again? Other then for budgetary reasons. I think it detracts from the idea in the original ALIEN films where these scary "xenomorphs" are found way out in space far from help... "In space, no one can hear you scream." Now apparently aliens show up and fight it out every few years in the burbs. Give me space marines.

Hope IJ4 is good, but I'm not holding my breath. That said, what is with all the people saying Ford looks like crap and is too old?! Sure his hair may be a bit thinner and grayer and he may have a bit of a ponch... but i hope I look that good at 65! Although he has to that dumb-assed earing.

Didn't TRON flop back in the day? My understanding is that nerds like myself went to see it (I begged my mom to take me until she relented), but that the general population stayed away... Is there enough interest for another feature film? Family Guy and The Simpsons poke fun once in a while, but does that represent enough interest to continue the story? I enjoy all of the Bond films, but I do feel that the series lost something when Connery left the series (the 1st time that is). But they were good romps even if the franchise had gotten stale. WOW! I was amazed how refreshing CR was. They really did go old school. Stripped the series back to its roots. I think the problem lay in Eon's reluctance to hire A list writers and directors - I don't know if it was to save money or keep control of the product or both. Perhaps it was Sony who put the screws to them, but the class and quality action is back in the series.

Looks like a great improvement over the last AVP... I like that it's rated R. But why present day (or perhaps near future or past) Earth? So much for Colonial Space Marines encountering xenomorphs in some remote part of the galaxy. I guess if you live in small town America look out! They will show up on your front doorstep!

Can someone help me out and explain the great love people have for Sam Raimi? Don't get me wrong, he has made a few movies I enjoy... they were worth my $10... but his work is elevated to the status of "geek classics." I just don't see it... and I've tried, but I see him as the king of camp. I'd have to agree with rasgonzo... that dancing scene is SM3 brought the film to a dead stop... It's not good when camp ceases to be funny and becomes dull. That said, I remember I had similar feeling towards Peter Jackson before LOTR... but he sure pulled out his A game for that trilogy. I hope Raimi will pleasantly surprise .

ARE YOU KIDDING!!! I had my doubts about CR due to the average quality of the bond films since - and including - many of the Roger Moore outings. With every new Bond film those guys at Eon would say they "...are getting back to basics..." when really meant they were just recasting the main characer. On CR they finally went in the right direction and made boat loads of cash doing it... and yes, it was a risk (remember how fans were pissed about Daniel Craig being cast as Bond?) Now they want to head back to mediocrity?! WTF!

I have seen a few spots and a teaser for IJATKOTCS (wow that's a long acronym) but, does anyone know if Paramount/Lucasfilm are planning to release a full trailer?
