Top 10 Worst Shows That Need a Remake - May 23, 2008 - 12:06am
Isn't this the same group who complains whenever there's an announcement for a remake such as Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street and Escape From New York? I'm sorry, but if I never see another remake, it'd be too soon. Go ahead & call me jerk, but I'd rather see more genuinely original programs.

Teresa Palmer Lands WONDER WOMAN Role? - Oct 27, 2007 - 01:28am
I'll say it again - They got the DIRECTOR OF HAPPY FEET to direct the Justice Leauge!! I'm on board for any boycott and letter writing campaign you can point me in the direction of

I can't believe you people are getting this upset over this casting. From the moment George Miller was attached to this abortion of a movie I knew what we were in for. After all, Miller is the same guy responsible for the lame sequel to Babe, the lame Mad Max movie starring Tina Turner, not to mention that god awful Happy Feet. So seriously - After looking at this guy's credentials, how can anyone REALLY be surprised?

The New Look of CAPTAIN AMERICA - Oct 14, 2007 - 12:27am
Man... I'm not a huge Captain America fan, so it's kinda hard to get worked up over this one. But I just gotta say I feel like Ross & Brubaker have jumped the shark with this one. Not only is the design of the new suit sub-par, but the whole concept is just a bad rehash of the "Knightfall" storyline in the Bat-books. (Fallen hero is replaced by a violent newcomer with a darker, more menacing costume.) Oh, and I'm thinking that the new Cap is gonna be Bucky

Oliver Stone Sees Willis in PINKVILLE - Aug 28, 2007 - 02:24am
I think it's most likely due to the fact that he's a Vietnam Veteran.

THE SOPRANOS: Made in America - Jun 11, 2007 - 08:10pm
I think the problem a lot of people might have with the series finale is due to the fact that after last week's episode, we were expecting an all out war between Tony & Phil. Instead, we got more character growth for characters we'll never see again. But I for one loved the last episode. If for no other reason than it's completely up to each individual viewer's own interpretation as to what will happen to these characters after they've left us. Was Tony shot in the restaurant? (I doubt it, but I love how Chase built a sense of dread over what turned out to be nothing) How will Paulie handle being the skipper of his own crew? If Tony wasn't shot, what's going to happen when Carlo testifies against him? Will A.J. ever get his head out of his ass? (Again - I doubt it) As an audience, we'll never really know. But we don't always need closure. Sometimes it's more interesting to just sit and speculate about what the answers to those questions are, and maybe talk about it with your friends. It shows enough respect for the audience that they're assuming we're engaged in the characters, and that we don't need to be spoon-fed every bit of the story.

Russell Crowe coming back to life for GLADIATOR sequel - Sep 06, 2006 - 11:35pm
To my friend Soulrevivor - I think you may have misread / misunderstood me when I mentioned Michael Bay. I only stated that, in my opinion, Scott is a hack who has made a few good movies, and that the overwhelming majority of his movies are approaching the level of the steroetypical bad studio director. I needed a name to illustrate the point, and for whatever reason, the first one to pop into my head was Bay's. If you want to think that Scott's a great director - fine, that's your thing. I must, however, draw the line at someone implying that I like Micael Bay. Not only do I hate his movies to the point of wishing cancer upon hime, I think he and people like him are one of the main reasons why Europeans look at American pop culture & assume they're all idiots.

Secondly - since when was it percieved that Ridley Scott was some sort of cinematic genius?! There have been other posts commenting on the fact that Gladiator sucked(Which it did, by the way), but what about the other steaming piles this moron laid upon the screen? Am I the only one who remembers suffering through the horrible experince that was 1492: Conquest Of Heaven? (My God... Now THAT was a pretentious pile of garbage if I ever saw one), The preachy soapbox that was GI Jane? Legend, Black Rain, White Squall? Sucked, sucked, and really sucked (Alright, you got me - even I didn't watch White Squall!) And don't even get me started on the job he did on Hannibal. All right, I'll admit - Black Hawk Down was good, and Matchstick Men didn't suck nearly as bad as a I thought it was going to when my wife made me watch it. But come on, the guy's a hack, approaching the level of Michael Bay. Ridley Scott Sucks. (Russel Crow too!)

Sadly the attitude towards muslims in the Us is so bad do to our goverments policys and war on so called facist islam and the Axis of evil the movie offened many christians and jewish groups who have extreme views in there own ranks. Blah, blah, blah... First off, dax0761, you're right about one thing - Every group contains within them a small, yet visable minority that subscribe to extream points of view, regardless of weither or not they're Christian, Jew, Muslim, or even Star Wars fans. However, the fact remains, they are a Minority. Kingdom of Heaven failed simply because a MAJORITY of people (Including those on this board...) agreed that it was a piece of sh*t.

Will we see a sequel to SUPERMAN RETURNS? - Aug 16, 2006 - 10:27pm
This would explain not only the over exaggerated asthma, but also why the kid appologized to Lois for saving her by smashing the goon with a piano. Now, as far as different species, genuses, and families with different DNA crossbreeding - It happens all the time. That's how humans have been able to cultivate many various species of animals and cross pollinated different plants. Hell, now they're talking about using mamoth sperm to impregnate an elephant (No Joke, by the way...) My point is, not only is it possible, but it's been going on for millions of years through the forces of eveolution and lonely sheep hearders everywhere. As far as Micheal Bay directing a sequel, I think I'd rather watch a home made sex tape starring my parents than see that hack get his hands on these characters. That doofus couldn't even handle a movie like Pearl Harbor, a film whose core story is so great and captivating that it could have wrote & directed itself and still turned out fine. Just imagine the abortion that a Bay directed Superman film would be. Does the world really need to see Will Smith in a blue leatard? Now having said all that, I still love this film. Yes, on looking at it again, I can see how people, especially those in the Mtv generation, wouldn't like a summer movie that has character development and relies on audience particpation & interpretation. But even if I hated the movie, I'd have to tip my hat toward Singer for at least having the chutzpa to take a chance that Micheal Bay wouldn't even dream to ask Jerry Bruckheimer permission for.

That actually brings up a pretty good theory about Lois's attitude toward Superman, as well as the kid's cheese ball asthma. You've gotta assume that Lois is a fairly bright individual, so after the events of Superman II when all the other characters were talikng about the aftermath Zod and the other Kryptonians, she'd naturally wonder why she didn't remember any of the events. All of a sudden, Superman's gone, she's knocked up, and when the baby pops out, it's abnormally strong. So, I'm assuming that she's bright enough to not only screw in a light bulb all by herself, but is also able to figure out who the child's real father is, even if she might not remember the exact circumstances surrounding the Super-Nookie. Which is why, as much as I thought the part was horribly miscast in this film, I can't blame the character in this particular continuity for being angrier than Rush Limbaugh at a chinese buffet that runs out of egg rolls. Think about it: She finally had the chance to be with who she thought was the man of her dreams, but instead of living happily ever after with him, he bangs her like he's a gypsy & she's a tambourine and dumps her off at her place without so much as saying goodbye. The next day when she tries to talk to him about what happened, rather than facing his responsiblities, he wipes her mind clean of the event, which I know is bad, because "Identity Crisis" said so. And to top it off, he leaves her with his kid and shows up out of nowhere after five years without so much as a Mother's Day card! So now she's left with this little bastard who is able to bench press a Lexus by age 1. She'd know that Superman's enemy's would still be around, and since he's off in space, the only way to they'd be able to get some ammount of revenge would be to attack his loved one's. So, she tells the kid to pretend to be weaker than he is and not to show off in gym class (Remember his report card - A in science, D in Phys Ed). This woul
