Ethan and Joel Coen's planned TO THE WHITE SEA project looks to have stalled for good. The project, which was planned to star Brad Pitt, would tell the World War II era story of of a B-29 bomber gunner who survives a crash in Japan. He then sets over across country to the north with the goal of getting out of the country.
According to Variety, the project has fallen apart to the due project's budget needs, which would, of course, require shooting on location in Japan as well as dressing it up as a period piece.
