COMIC-CON: Is FARSCAPE coming back?
By: Patrick SauriolDate: Monday, July 21, 2003
During last weekend's FARSCAPE panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, one fan asked the question that's been on all our minds: is a deal coming together that will give us more adventures of the Moya crew? Is there a four-hour mini-series in the works??
"It's a possibility," answered FARSCAPE star Ben Browder, being very careful to not get fans hopes too high. Browder also had heard the rumor reported last week by IGN FilmForce that a mini-series might be in the early stages of business development, one that would wrap up the storylines left dangling by the conclusion of season four.
After calling FARSCAPE producer David Kemper in London, England to ask him what he could say about the rumor, Kemper's reply was one that ignited further speculation. What could Browder say about the possible mini-series plans? "Nothing."
The FARSCAPE panel was well attended and both the stars and the fans assembled seemed to enjoy the chance to interact. At one point a fan wished that all of the FARSCAPE actors could be present so they could thank them. That prompted Browder to reach into his bag, yank out his cellphone and dial Claudia Black's phone number. After reaching an answering machine, Browder quickly said into the mike "Some people here want to say hello to you," and then thrust out the phone at the audience who went nuts.
