COMIC-CON: New writer on SWAMP THING, new direction for DEADMAN

At the Vertigo X panel taking place this afternoon at the San Diego Comic Convention, VIOLENT MESSIAHS writer Joshua Dysart was revealed to be the new writer of SWAMP THING. Dysart will commence his duties with issue #9. Enrique Breccia, who was the artist that kicked off this new volume of the Earth Elemental's adventures in comic books, will return to the title as the regular artist.

Also revealed at the panel was the announcement that former INCREDIBLE HULK writer Bruce Jones will write a new DEADMAN book for Vertigo. Now exclusive with DC Comics, Jones take will "reimagine" the wise-cracking, skeletal apparition for a Vertigo audience.
