COMIC-CON: Sexy SPECIES III gal greets fans

"This December, the mating game turns deadly." That's the tagline for MGM Home Entertainment's SPECIES III, a direct-to-video sequel that continues the story of a beautiful but deadly alien female who uses lust as a weapon.

Sara is the hybrid alien daughter of Eve (Natasha Henstridge), the first alien-human hybrid created in the first SPECIES film. MGM has a booth set up at the San Diego Comic Convention promoting the upcoming film, and using the best kind of promotion tactics to grab the eyes of passersby, have hired bikini-clad models to lie on their backs inside a six-foot long glass booth. Inside the booth rest a couple of alien tentacles for the model to play with, sea shells around the edge of her silver bed, a bottle of water that kind of breaks the illusion, and a distant look on her face like she was wishing she were someone else.

Also on display at MGM's booth is a model of the Sara creature. The alien was created by Rob Hinderstein and Joel Harlow of Harlow FX.

If you're planning on hitting Comic Con this weekend, Sunny Mabrey, the actress that portrays Sara in SPECIES III, will be at the MGM booth on Saturday, July 24, to sign autographs. We can't promise that she'll be in the glass tank.
