Holiday shopping and entertaining costs can really cut into your budget this time of year. Thankfully Marvel, DC and Image are making things way easier by having giant crossovers requiring extra purchases. That’s why it’s so important to make informed buying choices. If only there was a list that would help people know what to read each week…

Ben’s Ten

10) Mighty Avengers #32
Last issue was a weak excuse for an ending, but I’m hoping the Scientist Supreme turns it around this month.

9) Sherlock Ninja #1
This probably doesn’t belong on the list, but it’s a more faithful adaptation than the new movie.

8) Giant-Size Grimm Fairy Tales 2009 Holiday Edition
I just like the covers.

7) Complete Alice In Wonderland #1
Leah Moore leads this adaptation.

6) Captain America Reborn #5
If you haven’t read half the Marvel books from the last two weeks then you might be surprised by what happens in this. Spoiler! Captain America returns. Not surprised? Find me someone who is.

5) Incorruptible #1
Mark Waid not trying to sound hip. I’m in.

4) Punisher Dead End HC
One of the coolest Punisher stories ever… too bad it leads into the stupidest one.

3) Dark Wolverine #81
Daken is the best thing to come out of Dark Reign.

I can’t say enough about this revolutionary horror comic that has *gasp* characters with growth.

1) X-Factor #200
The renumbering is suspect, but it’s still a big deal. Check out the client for this issue… none other than the most powerful mutant in the Marvel U who doesn’t know he has powers, Franklin Richards.
