Happy Holdiays to you  Ben, and to all of the readers.

Hoping the New Year brings some kind of Relevancy to Blackest Night instead of mostly fluff that we have gotten, and I hope that Siege is the crossover we have all been waiting for.

Here's also hoping for:

End of the Hulk nonsene.  Bring the classic character that we all loved growing up back.

Some kind of resolution to Batman:  Detective comics is unreadable IMO  We all know Bruce Wayne is not going to stay dead for long while this book suffers.

The last massive crossover for a while.

Keep Fantastic Four going strong

Image United to come out on time.

and: for something good to happen to Spiderman.  I want to love the character, just....I don't know, somehting is missing big time.

agentkooper 12/23/2009 11:25:40 AM

Happy Holidays to you as well!

Man, you nailed it with Spider-Man.  It makes me so freaking sad how bad it's gotten.  If it was any other character I'd wait for a JMS re-boot... oh wait.

jedibanner 12/23/2009 5:27:42 PM

Yep...I miss Sipdey too....I wonder what's happened to him since OMD...

Now.....Fall of the Hulks:Gamma......It's so sad to see how this comic has gone in too many different directions without any light at the end of the tunnel....thank the gods Pak is writing Incredible Hulk but man....this thing makes no sense and now...SPOILER ALERT......General Ross is dead, Betty is alive...Glen Talbot is alive.....Red Hulk is working with Banner.....Red-She-Hulk is with M.O.D.O.K. .............................. yeahbutwhaaaaaaaaaat????????????? I literally don't care who the red Hulk is right now...(which now it appears it's Glen Talbot) and I just miss the Green Hulk and Banner.....END OF SPOILER.

I read that there will be a Red Hulk #1 following Fall of the Hulks.......WHO CARES!!!

And now I just read also and Hulk and X-Men won't appear in Siege since they are busy i their own thing......the one thing that would've made sense to have them include in Siege but nooooooooooo....too many ''events''....

lister 12/24/2009 1:10:38 AM

Fall of the Hulks. Woo.

Merry Freaking Christmas.

agentkooper 12/24/2009 1:38:24 AM

Happy holidays Jedi and Listey old pal (you smeghead).  Anymore suggestions about things that need changing in 2010?  I'm thinking a very special episode of Spinner Rack might have to find it's way to light next week calling out the (oh yes, it's list time again on the top 10 things that need to be addressed.

jedibanner 12/24/2009 6:59:57 AM

Agent, that's a great idea. Here is my top ten list for 2010 of things that need addressed in 2010:

10- Less events, more character's development: It's time our heroes deal with themselves and their own villains. They had their time fighting each others, with each others, back to against each other and now...alone with their own villains (DC and Marvel).

09- Spider-Man: This character has been absent as the #1 Marvel character for too long and Marvel knows exactly why. OMD....yes people should have moved on but if after all this time people still don't care about the character....admit it Marvel, it didn't work. Think of how things would've been exciting if Norman knew today, just like the rest of the world learned in Civil War, that Peter is Spider-Man but everyone else knew also...Who cares if he's married, he had dedication and character and was more human then.

08- Pricing: It's normal, it's going to happen, it has happenned in the past and will do so ion the future...but does it have to happen every 3 months? Why not adding a bit more content in comics if your going to rise the prices?

07- Less is more: Being a business is hard, I know that. But, is there a need for too many comics out there for C or D characters? Is there a need for 3 or four X-Men or Wolverine books? How many books in Gotham exist? It's one thing to have too many roosters on a team so you can have 2 but...there is some comics coming out these days that are all about things that not enough people care in my view (Skull Kill Krew anyone?). Yes it's a business and they need to make their titles alive but, if your going to make a new series...start with a mini-series first and then if it's a hit, put it as an ongoing but....try first.

06- Less character's book: Yes....Wolverine is cool, he's bad...he's in 20 books and yet everyone suprise his books aren't doing well. I love him in New Avengers but how many things can he do? He's loss his appeal, his coolness...just like Deadpool...even Batman.

05- Hulk: Eveyone knows about this....again Marvel...wake ain't working. Sales are down...the stories are incoherent and Loeb, as much as he can be excellent sometimes, on this book he's falling short. With everything that's hapenning in that book, we are going to get what...1 book to explain everything? Come on....use Pak for Hulk, let him do the book like he did with WWH and that's it. NO MORE LOEB ON HULK

04- More Max: The Max title line is like Vertigo for DC. Vertigo has a good line coming out every month and Marvel has....euh.....some sort of cop hunting something but it's hard to make..... . Why can't there be more book like Punisher Max coming out? Use the line...imagine Wolverine or Hawkeye or even Tony Stark in a Max series. Use it dammit, me want to see Black Widow naked!!!

03- Comics on time: Talent has grown over the years...writting and drawing. But how come it takes so long if you can prepare in advance? Sure some things can happen and problems may arise from time to time but, it should be a rarety, NOT the norm.

02- Exclusivelly....for 10 years???: Talents in comics are becoming like football or basketball players...agents, owners and general managers are fighting for them. But, where is the love to share it? Now talents are staying with the same companies for years and years without touching the competition. Why? It's all comics, it's all good...wouldn't it be fun if Bendis wrote Superman or Johns wrote Avengers? Yes it's the talent's choice to get the most from their employers but..I would just hope to believe that maybe if the industry wasn't such about money but the larger picture of having good comics all around...maybe it wouldn't be in such a state that it is today.

And my # 1 suggestion for 2010 of things that should be addressed: JLA Vs Avengers Round 2: We have seen some very cool scenes in that book and it was geek's paradise for this story to finally come out. Now...wouldn't it be nice to have a round 2? Have Thanos and Darkseid control some Avengers and JLA and have them fight but only if they are really going to fight....make it reall and hard and have a crazy story with time and space and it would be cool for everyone.

So, all these are in my views, some have been brought up already but I figured I would bring them all back in one fun list.

Merry Christmas everyone.

agentkooper 12/24/2009 4:22:58 PM

Awesome, thanks Jedi!!  Some of these will be in next week for sure.

lister 12/25/2009 12:25:33 AM

Well, it looks like now that Tony and Steve and Thor and the Avengers are getting back on track, I'd say we all have to take the collective dump that is Fall of the Hulks, and then hope that character can be rehabilitated (along with She-Hulk and Doc Samson and Rick Jones and the Hulk Illuminati B.S. and etc..). I'm less hopeful that Spider-Man can be fixed, because I have a feeling that the Powers That Be still think they were right and are hoping that their new status quo becomes just that.

Less Wolverine. Save the smaller books that have more bang for the buck like Booster and REBELS. More self-contained stories or ones that can be told in two issues instead of the trade.

Everyone always talks about what the publishers can do. There's stuff we readers need to do as well. On our end, a lessening of fawnish fanboyism. Yeah right, but a boy can dream. OK how about just this: as much as I enjoy a good geek debate, it's a little embarrassing sometimes, guys. Go outside and air out. Speaking of, some of y'uns, and I am not naming names, need to follow #5 more stringently:

...and not just at the convention but all the time. Not kidding. Let's have a little decorum and pride!  :)

jedibanner 12/25/2009 6:29:21 PM

Nice Lister, Nice....#5 IS a big issue.

I've been to the Toronto Con for the past 4 years and I can say without a doubt....people stink and they don't care.

Well, hope you like the list ''Agent''.
