I’m a forward looking guy, but seeing Thor #604 made me think about how awesome last week’s JMS finale was, setting me up for extreme excitement for this new creative team. The preview has my expectations high, but I’m still approaching it with a grain of salt. All this from a guy who traditionally thinks Thor is a lame character. But before you go rushing off dressed like the kid from Adventures in Babysitting be sure to check out what else is being released today because it’s time once again for…

Ben’s Ten

10) Siege The Cabal
The beginning of the end of seven years of events? I hope so.

9) Supergod #2
Cool idea, well executed.

8) Hack Slash #28
Love it, love it, love it!!!

7) Boys #37
Simon Pegg.

6) Scalped #33
The most impressively high quality work month in and month out, second to…

5) Nova #32
… This one.

4) Sword #20
For anyone who missed out so far, be sure to grab the trades and get up to date. The best work the Luna Bros. have pumped out.

3) Dark Tower The Battle Of Jericho Hill #1
Possible spoilers, but I think he blows the horn, making the comic the sequel to the books, not a retelling.

Cover art to THOR #604 by Billy Tan

2) Superman World Of New Krypton #10
As long as Blackest Night isn’t allowed to ruin this it should have a very satisfying ending.

1) Thor #604
I know JMS isn’t writing anymore, but after reading his story last week I am totally hooked on this character. P.S. William the Warrior is my favorite Marvel hero ever.

Why are there so many Hulk books?  Does Marvel like putting out garbage?

Looking foward to Uncanny X-men, and Ultimate Spiderman.  Again,  not sure if I will pick up the Blackest night tie-ins.  Possibly the Flash tie in.  I will take a look at them later when I get to my Comic Shop.

May give Thor a shot, and might finally jump on the Nova Bandwagon.

Should I bother with Siege??????

lister 12/2/2009 8:58:51 AM

Drop three letters and I'm in.

Jeez. Aren't you a priest or something? :)

Thor finale was a little underwhelming in that it seems JMS really was gonna stretch things out. Even so, I am glad this didn't drag on. Thor needs to get back into continuity for real now.

Definitely going to check out Siege. It would be awesome if this was the real end of the end. For now.

Definitely enjoying Nova, but I am worried about the survival of my Guardians!

Fall of the Hulks? Who F'n cares?? I hate the Hulk now, thanks to you Mr. Loeb.

jedibanner 12/2/2009 10:24:06 AM

I'm like THE biggest Hulk fan and even I'm tired of the red Hulk crap. Let this end and Loeb moves on to other things. He's tried, it didn't work, time for someone new.

The Siege, can't wait for this, after all that's happened in the recent years, it's cool to see it all tied together and then to have an ending to everything.

agentkooper 12/2/2009 11:10:39 AM

Yes, Mr. Loeb has set the Hulk back incredibly (haha, pun intended) far.  The current storyline is in no way a natural progression from the events of Planet Hulk and WWH.  Boo!  Hiss!

lister 12/2/2009 11:39:08 AM

Tired of the Red Hulk? Hell, thanks to Loeb, I'm now tired of the Green Hulk and he hasn't been around in months!

Red She-Hulk is especially awful.

Hate the new Doc Sampson.

Hate A-Bomb.

Hate Skaar.

Hate Skaar II (or whatever that guy in Son of Hulk is... old world energy... poisoning Galactus... it's all a bunch o' hooey that makes ZERO sense).

I actually want the Leader to win.

agentkooper 12/2/2009 11:57:29 AM

Forget the Leader, I want the Reader to win an have this whole entire load of garbage written out of continuity.  Red She Hulk?  WTF?

deadcowboy138 12/2/2009 1:56:51 PM

We at the No-Fly Zone are laughing at your superhero shenanigans.  Laughing, I tell you.

dbrock06 12/2/2009 2:38:10 PM

Did anyone get books today?  Apparantly Diamond Distribution didn't deliver today.

Thank God I am not reading the Hulk.  I wonder what kind of Print numbers they have.  How much has it fallen off in the last few years.

Is there a way to get those numbers?

lister 12/2/2009 4:24:28 PM

Now Kurt... I saw a numbered list article on your No-Fly Zone page a while back. Don't you be gettin' all high and mighty with Father Ben now! Oh wait, Ben does rip off that Top Ten List thingie... never mind.

agentkooper 12/3/2009 9:32:06 AM

Hey!  Letterman is my biological father.  And Kurt, are there other types of comics?
