A somewhat light week. Looking foward to a little Siege, and I will look through Iron Man to see if it worth getting.  I know Stark is back, but I haven't been keeping up with the story to be honest with you.

Really looking foward to Ultimate Avengers, but how long has it been since the last issue?

Still waiting on the next Image United?   Does this remind anyone of the mid 90's?

Might give up on Amazing.  It just hasn't been doing anything for me lately.  It just so hard to give up on the book.  I love the character....hate the book.  Not trying to get into any arguments C-dale just saying what I am thinking.  Since it is a light week for me, I may pick it up anyway.

Anyone getting Prelude to Deadpool Corps?   yuck!  Really enough is enough..but the character just sells for some reason.

Why is everyone so high on Stephen King. He's a bloated windbag. Under the Dome was such a waste of time.

Marvel and DC are killing my love of comics with all their damn events and crossovers. I'm getting sick of it all.

I hate the way Marvel whores any popular character until people are sick of it. Remember the freaking Venom craze? Jesus! STOP IT ALREADY MARVEL!!

Anyway....time to go get my comics. *sigh*

YES!!! Crossed # 9 is out....that book is so good it's unbelievable (but, not for the faint of heart). This book is what Walking dead should be today because, Ennis is jest one of the best writers of the past 20 years.

Good week though for comics...let's hope there's more then just dreams from Tony Stark this week.

Too long since the last issue of Ultimate Avengers but I'm super excited for it!

Sweet Tooth and Iron Man are the others I'm really looking forward to this week.  I'm so tired of all the subconscience/dream stuff with Tony and just want Iron Man back!

For all the talk of event faituge Blackest Night and Siege are both really, really good in my opinion and read just as well alone or with all the tie-ins.  Both companies claim to be moving away from events after their current ones wrap up but we'll see.

cdale78 3/3/2010 8:42:04 AM

Ben, I agree with 3 out of your top 4 this week, that's unusual.  The only one is Ultimate Avengers which hasn't been working for me, it's a decent title, but nothing that's at the top of my read stack.  Loving Pym in Mighty Avengers and my wife and I are very worried he's going to get pushed aside after Seige.  I like him in a leadership role, and I hate how Marvel always pushes the "Big 3" and leaves him out.  He was in the Avengers before Cap after all.

I have to admit, last week's Amazing was blah for me, but for the most part I've found it enjoyable.

Really not trying to start an argument or attack anybody, but I don't understand the idea of event fatigue.  Most of the "event" comics I've read since I've been back in comics have been enjoyable for me.  House of M, Civil War, Infinite Crisis, Identitiy Crisis, World War Hulk, Secret Invasion, Blackest Night have been some of my favorite series in the past 7 years.  I don't feel the need to buy every single tie-in, most of them are garbage and can be ignored anyway.  I just don't understand how you can be fatigued by entertainment, especially reading.

And apparently Deadpool is moving comics, and Marvel is a business.  Not hard to figure out they're trying to make money while they can on a historically unproven character sales-wise.  Half of the stuff is good, half isn't, don't get the other half.  Easy enough

cdale78 3/3/2010 10:44:26 AM

Ah, Legion of Superheroes in Adventure Comics this week.  That will be at the top of my read pile

lister 3/3/2010 11:58:51 AM

Nice dig a Loeb... well deserved!!

LSH be my homies, but Hank Pym wins the day for my top pick.

And that's all I'm really excitied about this week. Not too much at all.

Are we suuuuure Iron Man is really back? Or are we still stuck in snoozy Dreamland. God I hope not.

And Son of Hulk II is from another dimension? I thought he was from this dimension, but his story is taking place in the microverse. Or something. Not sure because the few pages I looked at were so vomit-inducing that I decided to skip this part of Realm of Kings.

Event fatigue? Hell, I'm tired of all the teaser posters from Marvel... it's getting stale.

cdale78 3/3/2010 12:12:35 PM

I am annoyed by the teasers also, just tell me or leave me alone already
