Is 'Fear Agent' headed for the big screen? We hope so! Is press for the 'Kick-Ass' movie going to reveal all of the comics story before the comic does? Seems like! Is Bill Willingham in the dark about the 'Fables' TV show based on the comic he created? Shamefully, yes! This is your Comics2Film news wrap up for December 11th.

Remender says a FEAR AGENT film is happening

But he won't say much more than that. Still, it's no surprise that Rick Remender says that things are in motion for a film version of his comic 'Fear Agent'. The comic is one of the best, balls-out pulp sci-fi adventure comics on the market today, so of course everyone in Hollywood with the word producer on a buisness card would be after it.

In a recent interview with UGO Movie Blog Remender said of the film, "It’s in the works. I can’t really say much more or they’ll kill my family. They’re out there and they’re always watching… cruel and vicious Hollywood Black ops Agents. We have to be careful about who we say what to. If I had my choice of the actor to play Heath Huston I’d say Jon Hamm or Aaron Eckhart."

WATCHMEN's Haley felt like he was in the graphic novel

Fans know well that Jackie Earle Haley plays Rorschach in Zack Snyder's upcoming 'Watchmen' movie. The actor recently spoke with MTV Splash Page about the experience.

"I remember one of the first days on the set there was a big 18 K light up behind [me],” recalled Haley, “and it was at the cemetery, and I’m getting ready to walk over to the grave, and [director] Zack [Snyder]’s calling roll and I looked down and there’s Rorschach’s shadow from that 18 K light just perfectly on the ground — and it’s me. I feel like I’m inside the graphic novel and I’m seeing Rorschach’s silhouette but I’m not just seeing Rorschach’s silhouette, I’m seeing my silhouette and it’s Rorschach’s! It was just wonderfully empowering."

Haley also enthuses that the ink blot effect on his full-face mask is also empowering.

Fables’ Creator Bill Willingham On The Upcoming ABC TV Series

It appears that when DC Comics was shopping the rights to 'Fables', the Vertigo series created by Bill Willingham, they didn't bother to tell him about it. And when they set it up as a TV pilot with ABC they didn't tell him then either. As Stu Zicherman and Raven Metzner were developing the script and DC was reading it, Willingham was still left in the dark.

Now, DC owns 'Fables' and it was created as a work-for-hire project by Willingham, so they're certainly under no obligation to keep him posted of such things. Indeed, keeping developments under wraps to prevent early leaks is important. Still, it seems like courtesy would have Willingham involved on some level.

The creator chatted with Newsarama.com recently and talked about how events unfolded from his point of view. An exceprt:

"The screenwriters have been working on the pilot script for some time, and several versions of that have passed through DC's and Warner's offices and received notes back. [DC's Creative Executive] Ivan Cohen mentioned that the latest version of the script has come in and it looks really good. I have not seen it yet, and the thing I asked him when we were all taken by surprise by this news, was OK, when do I see a copy of the script? And he's going to find that out for me. So boy, do I look well informed."
