Both books were excellent (even for DC...and even more from Morrisson, the death of Robin was actually good).

Once again, Bendis proves he can write any book and still show great stories.

Personally I was never a fan of Damien, I prefered Tim Drake as Robin, hopefully this'll get him back

In a preview on CBR Starlord's dad's ship bears a more than a passing resemblance to an x-wing fighter.

Morrison created Damian and under his writing he was a good character. I feel like if dc editorial had forced damian into existence it wouldn't have gone over well but morrison does a bang up job. I collected his entire run of batman up until batman inc when I realized if I just waited a little bit I could save some money and get the trades so I held off and I can't wait to read the final trades of his batman run. I think it will be looked at as a memorable era of the character years from now just like his JLA work.

I have a feeling this death of damian thing is being brought on because they are having a hard time finding tim drakes place in the new 52 but I could be wrong.

SPOILERS (but you should really be expecting them, anyway)

I never have cared for Damian, but he was finally starting to grow on me... just an ever so tiny bit.  However, I still won't miss him, if he really is gone.  The book was good, but for some reason I just am not quite ready to buy the fact that he really is "dead" (as far as comic book characters go).  Just seems to me like they may revive him somehow on the next issue.  I think I feel that way because we only get one panel of the overused image of Batman holding a dead Robin - first time I've seen that image since all the way back to last week's Red Hood and the Outlaws cover).

Nobody has had a chance to react to the death yet, so maybe we'll get that in the next few bat-books.  Still just can't quite buy it yet.

Finally, if Robin's death does stick, then Batman Inc #8 instantly trumps anything and everything seen in the entire "Death of the Family" 20 issue crossover arc.

SPOILERS....

The way Damian bit the dust...the panels where we can see all the wounds he receives from the many people shooting at him...if he survives this then Batman Inc. # 8 would be come the biggest joke in history of comics.

That's most certainly an option...  :)

I felt that Batman Inc. was done VERY poorly. It didnt strike a nerve on any level.

SPOILERS:

They shouldve let Snyder kill damien in "Death of the Family"

It wouldve saved us from Morrisons garbage and it wouldve let Snyder have a better ending. One that wasnt completely disappointing.

and the problem with killing another Robin... and his son at that... is that Batman would NEVER allow another partner since thats the second time
