List is interesting...not sure I agree with all the ''winners'' but they are all in the run at least, good choices.

In my mind Image has been the big winner for 2012 all accross the board for new books and writers, even arts (where they used to own this area for years). As far as new original books what they brough was so inovative and fresh and fun to read, they would deserve my vote.

As for Saga...somehow I didn't get into it...I have # 1 and 2 lying around and from what I hear they are worth quite the moula but somehow I just don't care about the story.

As for ongoing series, Bendis's run on both Avengers and New Avengers should be mentionned, he ended his run with great character development and style and made us all care about Spider-Man being part of the Avengers...heck, if he was to write any new book of Spider-Man, I would read it in a second since he seemed to get the character more then the writers of the book itself...but that is another story alltogether.

Can't say as that I am familiar with all of the titles mentioned above, but I do agree that Batman has been excellent this past year.  It actually got me back into comics for the time being.

By the way, I think Eaglemoss publications is simply genius.  They produce all of those fantastic figurines and since they produce a mini-magazine with each one, they get listed on all of the publication lists & etc.  Smart move to get some extra exposure for what I would consider a collectible series rather than a comic series.  (Really looking forward to the Batmobile series they are about to release stateside).

Personally I agree with your list.

I love Image (mainly Walking Dead and Invincible) but Saga is the book I really can't wait to read each month. It is so fun.

I did read Batman for the first 6 issues and then stopped. I liked it, but didn't want to get drawn into getting another book each month. Maybe I'll see the rest in trades. I stopped at 6 or 7 because it was a good cliffhanger to take a break at, it seemed.

TBH, Batwoman is the best book DC has right now. Of all the DC books I read right now its the one I look forward to the most each month.
