Does this mean he has time for God of War now? For the love of Kratos, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooo!!

It seems that director Brett Ratner is off the upcoming Conan remake. While talking to producer Joe Gatta on the Robert E. Howard-created property, Empire Magazine confirmed that Ratner has parted ways from the production, which is still scheduled to begin shooting in Bulgaria on August 24, 2009.
"We're currently in the process of hiring a director," he told us. "For the past six months we were discussing the movie with Brett Ratner, and for more timing issues than anything else we had to part ways with Brett. We all wanted him to do it, believe me; just the timing didn't work. But you never know what can happen."
The producer also added that Red Sonja isn't expected to begin production until sometime next year. To read the full report, click here.

Shhhh. Hear that? Robert E is settling back into his coffin with a satisfying sigh.
How's that Guitar Hero Trilogy coming Brett?
If only John Boorman wasn't seemingly about to die, he would be an awesome pick. How about Fincher? Isn't it time he do a sword and sorcery flick? All I know is Ratner can go sit and spin.
I'd love it if they got a big name director for this. But I hope it's one with style and passion. Michael Bay is a big director but I wouldn't want him.
And if you no help me........then the hell with you ! Arnold Rules forever !
"Timing issues"? More like someone in charge finally woke up and smelled the Java and realized hiring Ratner was a horrible idea., unless they wanted Chris Tucker playing Conan's wacky sidekick.
