Condal splashes down into 'Ocean' script

By Rob M. Worley     June 05, 2008

According to the Hollywood Reporter, screenwriter Ryan Condal is on board to write the screenplay adaptation of the comic 'Ocean'.

The comic, created by Warren Ellis and Chris Sprouse, and published by Wildstorm, involves a U.N. Weapons inspector sent to a space station orbiting Europa (one of Jupiter's moons) to investigate the discovery of a number of alien sarcophagi which may also be weapons of mass destruction. Battling the interests of the U.N., the scientific community and the greater good are an evil corporation (*cough* microsoft *cough*) looking to exploit the findings for profit.

The movie is set up at Warner Bros with Nick Wechsler and Hollywood Gang's Gianni Nunnari are producing. Hollywood Gang's Craig J. Flores is executive producing.

According to The Reporter, Condal, a relative newcomer, is known for his spec 'Galahad.'
