Despite being one of the most anticipated comic book-inspired projects around, it looks like CONSTANTINE is running into more development trouble. Director Tarsem (THE CELL) has dropped out of the project and it is unclear, according to the HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, whether star Nicolas Cage will soon follow.
CONSTANTINE is based on the DC-Vertigo comic book HELLBLAZER, and has been in development for over a year. According to the REPORTER, Tarsem left because of budgetary problems.
