We now have a title for Dan Brown's next novel, the third adventure of his character Robert Langdon. The author announced today that the upcoming third novel will be called "The Lost Symbol" with a first print run of five million copies to be released in the U.S. and Canada on September 15, 2009. The confirmed title and date comes just a few weeks after Ron Howard was quoted as saying that Brown was nearing the completion of his next adventure.
Angels & Demons, his next work to be adapted, is preparing to strike theaters on May 15th and stars Tom Hanks, Ewan McGregor, Ayelet Zurer, Stellan Skarsgard, Pierfrancesco Favino, Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Armin Mueller-Stahl. Director Ron Howard was once again behind the camera, based on a screenplay by David Koepp and Akiva Goldsman.

Columbia Pictures, producer Brian Grazer and director Howard have already indicated that they're interested in adapting the upcoming third novel "Symbol" if the follow-up has a successful box office run.
