Edgar Wright says he's not directing TINTIN 3

Apparently there are rumors making the rounds that 'Scott Pilgrim' director Edgar Wright would helm the third film in the 'Tintin' franchise. Fans know that the first to CGI/mo-cap films are being directed and produced by Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson. A post on IMDB suggests the Wright would take on a third movie.

/Film checked with the director himself who says the rumors are wrong.

"Not that I know of. But hey, rumors are fun," Wright told them.

Venditti says SURROGATES movie true to his book

SCI FI Wire chatted with comics writer Robert Venditti about the currently-in-production film version of his comic 'The Surrogates'.

The film stars Bruce WIllis and is directed by Jonathan Mostow. Venditti said he had a role in shaping the vision for the big screen.

"I was a consultant on the screenplay," Venditti said. "But I mostly stayed out of it and let them do what they felt was best. They're all seasoned professionals, and everyone has an honest appreciation for the graphic novel, so I was completely confident they would do the story justice."

He also assures SCI FI that the important elements of the book are intact.

Here's KICK-ASS' Hit Girl

Chloe Moretz as Hit Girl in KICK-ASS

Empire Online has the first photo of Chloe Moretz as the pre-teen murdering machine Hit Girl in Matthew Vaughn's upcoming adaptation of Mark Millar and John Romita Jr's comic 'Kick-Ass'.

In the book she wears as mask and something that looks like a traditional superhero costume. For the movie, it looks as if they're going with an all-too-familiar school girl uniform. Looks to us like the movie is aiming for an even greater degree of exploitative fantasy than the comic does.

Empire promises additional photos and a Q & A with Vaughn in the upcoming issue, out this week. Coincidentally the latest issue of 'Kick-Ass' also arrived in comic shops this week and delves into Hit Girl's origin.

Perlman says no HELLBOY sequels without Del Toro

Ron Perlman has a new movie in theaters with 'Mutant Chronicles' and a new show on TV with 'Sons of Anarchy'. IESB caught up with the busy actor and asked him about the possibility of a 'Hellboy 3' movie. The prospect of a third installment seems iffy with director Guillermo del Toro's clout in hollywood exploding and his dance card filling up with high-profile jobs like 'The Hobbit'.

Perlman said the only way he'll do another sequel is with the visionary director's involvement.

"I would never do Hellboy without, at least, Guillermo’s blessing. He’d have to at least have written it," Perlman said. "I know he has no time to direct another movie for five years because he’s doing two Hobbit movies, but if he said, 'Yes, I have the script for Hellboy 3, and this is my hand-picked director and, even though I can’t be there, I’ll oversee it and look at the dailies,' then of course I would do it! But, I would never contemplate doing Hellboy, unless Guillermo was integral."
