Bloody Disgusting reports that there have been rumblings from Columbia Picture about the long-planned 'Men in Black III' movie. The film with find the franchise moving on with a new cast.
As previously rumored, actor Josh Brolin is still said to be likely to star, but who will be his partner in alien affairs management?
Bloody claims that the studio have "shown strong interest" in Sacha Baron Cohen ('Bruno') and Jemaine Clement ('The Flight of the Conchords') for a character named "Yaz". It's unclear if Yaz is the partner to Brolin's character or possibly the villain of the film.
Etan Cohen ('Tropic Thunder') has written the script and some projected filming to start this spring, although that seems optimistic at this point.
Another actor has eliminated himself from the running for the lead role in 'The First Avenger: Captain America'. According to io9.com, Scott Porter of 'Friday Night Lights' fame told his fans on Facebook that he will not be appearing in the film.
Porter was one of seven actors named on a rumored short list a few weeks back. He's the second to publicly bow out. Actor Michael Cassidy also tweeted that he's no longer a contender last week.
Remember that updated, 21st Century, made-for-TV version of 'The Phantom' that we heard about last year? According to PhantomSite.net we can expect to see the movie on SyFy Channel in June of this year.
The movie, based on the classic comic strips by Lee Falk, stars Ryan Carnes as a young man living in America who learns that he is descended from the immortal line of heroes that are 'The Phantom'.

According to the Showbiz 411 blog, the star of the original 'Barbarella' has chosen her preferred successor.
Actress Jane Fonda apparently met Kate Bosworth ('Superman Returns') at the post-Oscar Vanity Fair party and told those within earshot, "I want her to do the ‘Barbarella’ sequel!"
Universal has been struggling to return the European space queen to the big screen for over a decade now. The most promising of recent efforts had director Robert Rodriguez trying to realize his vision, although he threw his hands up and walked away from the project in 2008. Since then director Robert Luketic has been attached as director with one Joe Gazzam penning the script.
So on the one hand, Fonda has no real say in the matter. As far as we know she's not a producer on the film or anything and Bosworth can hardly be considered to be attached at this point. On the other hand, Luketic worked with Fonda on 'Monster in Law' and Bosworth did appear in two of his prior features ('Win a Date with Tad Hamilton' and '21') so it's possibly that she actually is flirting with the role.

In the wake of the super cool, post-Oscar trailer for 'Iron Man 2', Marvel Entertainment and Paramount have released four new images from the film.
The first is a 3D Standee featuring torso busts of War Machine and Iron Man, separated by the number "2".
The next two are also labeled as "standees" but they look more like posters to us. Paramount was kept the details of the artwork pretty scare so it's hard to say. One features Iron Man in the Mark V while the other shows War Machine. If you spot these in your theater lobby, let us know.
Finally, we have a new still featuring Tony Stark in Mark IV armor, facing off with somebody in the Mark II armor. Now, you'll recall scenes from the trailer which show Iron Man fighting someone in the Mark II. We suspected that the battle was more friendly training and less of an actual battle. This photo seems to seems to confirm it as Stark and the mystery person seem to be engaging in a ceremonial face-to-face as two boxers might.
So who is in the armor? Is it Rhodey in training? Natasha? Could it even be pepper? We'll find out on May 7th. In the mean time, enjoy the new images:
